Brian Franck & Duke Andrus



DIRECTOR
BRIAN A. FRANCK was introduced to the barbershop style in high school. 54 years ago he joined the Miami University Glee Club and sang in quartets with the club and his fraternity. The "Fiji FOUR" won the college contest all four years and his senior year the quartet sang on the Middletown Barbershop Show and the hook was set. Brian competed in Illinois singing tenor with the "CHORDSPLITTERS", and then returned to Ohio and began singing with the Hillcrest chapter. He started directing the chapter in 1971 and is currently the Director Emeritus of the Cleveland East Suburbanaires, and now 12 years with the New River Harmony. Brian has continued his love for quarteting singing bass with Vintage Four and is a 53 year member with the Barbershop Harmony Society. 


ASST. DIRECTOR
DUKE ANDRUS is a 56 year member of the barbershop Harmony Society, having joined in 1963 in Marin County, CA. He began his directing career with the San Francisco Cable Car Chorus from 1972-1975. He has since directed choruses in Independence, MO, Reno and Carson City, NV, Chico, CA and Savannah, GA. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Carolinas District and is part of the President's Council for the Harmony Foundation. He has been directing the Hilton Head Lighthouse Chorus for the past 4 years.
